The Notes UI App Dev Team has released a new version of the project Java UI API Exerciser. The new release demonstrates the new functions in Notes 8.5.2. More information from Stanton Sievers:

The Lotus Notes Java UI Application Development team has just updated the Java UI API Exerciser project on OpenNTF to incorporate the new functionality included with the release of Lotus Notes 8.5.2.  The added functionality focuses on Notes views and adds significantly to the test plugin's sidebar.  This added functionality includes column information for the view as well as a collection of the actionable entries in the view and the information associated with them. There is also an addition of functionality to adapt NotesUIDocuments and NotesUIViews to different data types, e.g., NotesDatabaseData.  By utilizing these new test plugin features and examining the corresponding source code, one will gain insight into leveraging the new UI APIs introduced in Notes 8.5.2.

One member of the App. Dev. team, Ryan Baxter, will be on hand in the lab at Lotusphere 2011 and will be able to answer questions you may have regarding the Java UI APIs in Notes.  He will also be holding a session with Mikkel Heisterberg entitled "Jumpstart Your 'Jedi Plug-in Development Skills' with the Masters" which will cover general plugin development within the Lotus portfolio.

We look forward to your questions, comments, and innovations.
